Definition
With the International Conference programme (INCO) VLIR-UOS supports conferences on a  development-relevant theme. Representatives from developing countries should have an active role. The Flemish promoter, who submits a proposal is a (co-)organiser of the conference. The conference may be organized in the South or the North.

The aims of an INCO are
- to publish, exchange and critically reflect on knowledge with development relevance,
- focused on its implementation in society and policy (preferably in the South),
- to create sustainable cooperation between and with actors from higher education and relevant (policy) actors from the North and South.

Target group
- Submission of proposals: promoters from Flemish universities and university colleges.
- Participation: both academics and students as well as social (policy) actors from the North and South.

Call
The call for proposals for INCO 2011 is closed by the end of May 2010. Selection takes place on 1 October 2010. Please check the call for more detailed information.
