Optimisation in Diagnostic Radiology

Finished

The goal of this training is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in radiation protection, optimization of examinations and quality control to allow capacity building in Southern countries. The theoretical seminars in dosimetry and radiation protection are alternated with ‘hands-on’ training in the radiology skills-lab at EHSAL. The QC group of K.U.Leuven provides theoretical and practical training in quality control of radiological equipment. Although the ITP’s focus is on techniques and equipment presently available in Southern countries, some seminars and teaching practice are included on such recent techniques as ultrasound, CT, digital radiography and MR.
