Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) as an efficient tool to improve the agricultural production of small scale local farmers

Finished

The project will demonstrate that the inoculation with local AMF species is an ecological and realistic alternative to increase agirulctural production in Cuba. Scientific results of the Department of Biofertilizer and Plant Nutrition, Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Group, INCA have showed that AMF species with excellent competitive abilities and good adaptation to diverse agricultural conditions have a significant effect on yield and quality. The project activities will improve the research capacity of the local department and include valorization of the results obtained.
