Is Uganda ready to avoid the governance curse? A comprehensive analysis of the country’s oil governance regime

Finished

The discovery of oil in Uganda appears to be a mixed blessing. While oil revenues could help Uganda resolve some of its development problems, many countries blessed with natural resources end up being cursed by less development and political instability; a situation which is usually referred to as the resource curse or what we term the governance curse. The current project aims to analyse and assess the extent to which Uganda is ready to effectively govern its oil windfall and avoid this so-called oil governance curse.
