Improving Drying Technologies with Reverse Engineering and Innovation for Minimizing Post Harvest Losses

Finished

This project is a continuation, consolidation, and expansion of the farm technology (MU-IUC) research project by integrating post harvest treatment and agro processing with renewable energy resources. It aims at developing, introducing, and implementing improved drying technologies for postharvest treatment and agro-processing in the Geba Catchment of the Tigray region. Direct beneficiaries are 2 cooperatives, each having 50 housholds. The total beneficiaries, thus, will be 100 housholds;   and with average of 5 person per household, 500 persons will be direct beneficiaries. Besides, students and teachers of Technical and Vocational Training Education centers will be benefited through the project implementation. The outcome of the project will also be an input for the revision of curriclum on agro-machinery and processing.
