Master in Globalisation and Development

Ongoing

The master in Globalisation and Development approaches the phenomenon of globalisation in an eclectic perspective, considering both the opportunities it creates and the threats it poses to development and poverty reduction in low and middle-income countries, at the national and the local level.

The objective of the Master Programme is to provide students with a solid understanding of the phenomenon of globalization in its multiple dimensions (worldwide markets for goods, services, capital and labour/migration, the planetary challenge of the environment and sustainable development). It also offers them insights and tools to analyse and affect how globalisation impacts on local development and poverty reduction, taking due account of the complexities of the local-global interactions in the multifaceted arenas of globalisation.
