Tackling the mycotoxin issue in Vietnamese agricultural products to minimize human exposure

Ongoing

In Vietnam, food loss, due to the presence of mycotoxins, remains a major impedent to sustainable and safe  food production, especially in a setting of increasing international trade. Therefore, this project aims to establish an international, multidisciplinary research center on mycotoxins. The aim of this spearhead consortium is (i) to provide data on the mycotoxin occurence of Vietnamese agricultural products (maize and rice), (ii) to develop efficient prevention, intervention and remediation strategies to reduce the mycotoxin contamination.
