IUC 2017 Phase out UCUENCA

For its long term IUC partnerships, VLIR-UOS foresees a phase out phase of 2 years. At this point the partnership is matured to a level at which the academic partners would be able to access other funding. As such, the Phase Out focuses on the preparation of a range of VLIR-UOS initiatives that are meant to guarantee a ‘soft landing’ of the partnership. In order to facilitate the termination of the partner programme agreements, limited support is provided to terminate the reporting cycle (financial, content) and in order that delayed PhD scholars can graduate. Ultimately, the end of this phase is marked by the organization of a closing event during which the results of the partnership are pre-sented, the final evaluation discussed and the equipment is officially handed over. This closing event will be combined with an event with international exposure (international conference). Activities related to this closing event which will hold the central theme of ‘Improvement of the Quality of Life in the Austro Ecuatoriano’ are to be organized around the first week of October 2017.
