KLIMOS: Integration of the environmental and climate change themes in the transition towards sustainable development (2017-2018)

KLIMOS is an interdisciplinary and interuniversityresearch platform, aiming at generating capacity to enable the necessary transition to a sustainable society through research for development. Research activities will focus on (1) management of natural resources for multiple ecosystem services, (2) development of sustainable energy systems and urban infrastructures, (3) innovations in governance and institutional reform, and (4) sustainability monitoring and evaluation. Eight research groups of six different universities and university colleges are involved in KLIMOS.

 

The research platforms aims at

  • collecting scientific knowledge of specific development themes,
  • pooling the expertise knowledge of different sectors and disciplines and
  • supporting the development aid policy of the Belgian government.
