IUC 2018 Phase out UEM

The Phase out Programme is the period provided by VLIR-UOS to summarize and document all the accomplishments and lessons learned from the UEM-IUC Partner Programme (Desafio Programme), during its 10 years of implementation of research, capacity building, education and service to communities. It is also an opportunity to share with our different key stakeholders our experience in terms of coordination and management of a long term multidisciplinary collaboration. This process will be done through different approaches, including scientific conferences, workshops, continuous publications, audio-visual material and site visits to different centres/units established or strengthened during the collaboration period. This is also an opportunity for 5 of the on-going PhD students to finalise their studies. For this purpose, they will be granted a 1-month scholarship in Belgium for defence.

The Phase out programme will also guarantee administrative support to all training and research activities, closing event, research promotion and will as well focus on closing of the administrative and financial aspects of the Programme . The closing process includes consolidation of financial reports and closing of accounts. Also an update of inventory and official hand over of assets to UEM during the closing event are part of it.
