Ongoing

Cuba is taking a lot of efforts in order to increase food production to increase social welfare by making it more reachable to regular citizens. This project aims at impacting food production of small farmers and cooperatives (govern sponsored farmers unions) with the adoption of smart solutions and an active usage of collective knowledge. The proposal had two pillars: (i) the use of a user-friendly game-based simulator powered by models of crop and society dynamics integrated with artificial intelligence as a training and decision support system and (ii) the development of strategic channels of knowledge transfer and data collection between the local university, govern and farmers. The social goal of the project is to impact living conditions as a direct result of increased food production.
