Community Talk XL: Modeling infectious diseases in sub Saharan Africa
Current trends and policies.
Online (Zoom)
The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 illustrated that we must be ready for the next outbreak in order to be able to provide quick and accurate information about the disease to policy makers and to plan efficient innervations to control the disease outbreak.
We will have a community talk seminar about different aspects of infectious disease modeling and monitoring with a focus on sub Saharan Africa.
We plan three talks about Malaria and HIV/AIDS which illustrate different approaches to modeling and monitoring. The seminar will start with an overview presentation about opportunities and ongoing projects sponsored by VLIRUOS.
