Decolonisation and its relationship with international cooperation have gained increasing attention in higher education and research. Higher education and science institutions play a key role in the creation, legitimation and transfer of knowledge. The integration and adoption of decolonial perspectives and practices is important in the development of reciprocal, global partnerships among higher education and science institutions.

This event will explore key questions on institutional decolonisation of global health, equitable partnerships, and the decolonisation of knowledge and practice. Reflections, examples and good practices will be shared.

Through an open dialogue, participants will be invited to critically reflect on power dynamics, history and justice in higher education and research institutions, and to consider what meaningful change requires within and beyond global research and health institutions.
