Why PSP Projects Matter
PSP stands out among VLIRUOS initiatives by its direct influence on policy-making. It doesn't just generate academic knowledge—it ensures that the knowledge is mobilised into action, bridging theory and practice. The co-creation approach means that VLIRUOS partners are essential in shaping the advice given to the Belgian government. This collaborative effort brings together Belgian universities and international institutions, allowing for in-depth exploration of issues and rapid responses to emerging challenges.
What sets PSP apart is its co-creative process, where projects are developed in collaboration with partners, ensuring that the research is directly applicable and responsive to real-world challenges. Additionally, PSP serves as a platform to engage new academics and students, further mobilising research talent. Managed jointly with ARES, this programme exemplifies a collaborative and strategic approach to policy-relevant research.
