Take your Partnerships to the Next Level with the TEAM Programme

These projects focus on addressing sustainable development challenges while enhancing the research and educational capacities of higher education and science institutions in partner countries. By fostering strong collaborations, TEAM projects generate tangible societal impact, supporting both local and global development goals.

Why TEAM Projects Matter
TEAM projects enable substantial, medium-term academic collaborations that significantly strengthen research and educational capacities. Sharing a number of project activities with the SI programme, the TEAM programme identifies itself with the broader scope and larger scale their medium-term duration brings. The extended timeframe and resources of TEAM projects support more substantial capacity building and sustainable development impacts, making them essential for addressing complex challenges and fostering robust, long-term academic collaborations within the VLIRUOS portfolio.
TEAM projects are ideal for experienced academics and institutions that already have a certain level of international collaboration experience. They are aimed at those looking to significantly deepen and expand their existing partnerships.

Community Talks (June 2023) | Todos Por Chaparri: Socio-Environmental Justice and Community Empowerment
This project delves into the multifaceted aspects of the Chaparri Ecological Reserve, which stands out as the first private protected area established and governed by a peasant community in northern Peru. It explores significant landmarks, achievements, challenges, and social innovations that have made Chaparri a symbol of inspiration for activists, conservationists, academics, and other actors involved in the intersection of social and environmental issues.
From the participatory action research project, carried out in partnership with the local community and other relevant actors, this publication talks about the pressing need for increased awareness and knowledge regarding the complex dilemmas and critical junctures faced by protected areas, such as Chaparri.
