The International Master of Science in Agro and Environmental Nematology is a globally unique 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS) in English.
This dynamic programme brings together internationally renowned staff to train students in the broad field of agricultural and environmental aspects of nematology. Not only do students gain a solid scientific foundation in nematological research and practice in the first master year, they also follow the Summer Course: “Networking & Seminars”. This course includes participation in international symposia, visits to companies and institutes in the EU working on nematodes or in a related field, as well as seminar days. The seminar days focus on developing professional and research competencies, like presentation skills and entrepreneurship.
For the second year, there are numerous possibilities for specialized training, applied research and mobilities. The programme teams up with IITA-icipe Nairobi (Kenya) and Moi University, enabling the organisation of the Kenya Track. It also offers Erasmus exchange opportunities, professional internships and Master’s theses in partner countries across Europe and Africa.
Students are required to follow a pre-course programme, NemaPrep, starting on 1 September and running until the start of the academic year.
