Event Format and Hybrid Participation

The first part of the event, including the opening speeches and interactive workshops, will take place exclusively in person in Brussels.

The second part, the plenary session, will be held in a hybrid format. Remote participants are invited to join specifically for this session (from 3:55 PM onwards) to follow the workshop reports and moderated panel discussion.

Workshop Selection (In-Person Participation)

Participants attending in person are kindly requested to select one reference workshop during registration. Be aware that groups can be reshuffled in order to ensure exchanges and optimal interaction for all participants.

Participants may choose between the following three thematic sessions:

SPRING – Inclusive Growth and Social Protection
This session explores how local knowledge and practices can effectively support social protection policies.

CLEAR – Community Engagement and Climate Resilience
This workshop seeks to avoid top-down approaches in climate and conservation policies. It examines how abstract concepts can be translated into climate and conservation policies centred on environmental and climate justice.

REFRACT – Aid Localisation, Civic Space, and Fragility Analysis
This session addresses how local expertise can be mobilised for fragility monitoring and governance within the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Drawing on experiences from the Sahel and eastern DRC, it focuses on localised coordination approaches and how local actors navigate increasingly restricted civic spaces while continuing to shape responses on the ground.

Registration is mandatory for both in-person participation throughout the afternoon and online participation in the closing dialogue.

The places for in-person participation are limited so don't forget to register. Connection details to join online will be shared upon registration.
