Internship - Turn Data Into Impact
Together with InfoSupport, we are looking for an intern to help us turn data into impactful insights.
The assignment
We are looking to build a visually appealing dashboard for the VLIR-UOS website, displaying fascinating stories, images, videos, and statistics of VLIR-UOS-funded projects.
We would like to share this information about our projects with the VLIR-UOS community and the general public. By sharing the information, we aim to highlight the projects, build bridges between like-minded people, connect people working around the same themes, and inspire people every day.
- For this project, you will analyse the needs of our various stakeholders. You determine where and how our data adds extra value for our users.
- You design wireframes and investigate how data from other (external) sources can be combined.
- Where possible, you add data-driven insights by combining different data sources, integrate qualitative data such as impactful stories, or implement AI-driven insights or applications.
- You develop the final dashboard and integrate it seamlessly into the existing application and website.
- You test the whole thing and present the progress to the various stakeholders in sprints.
- You work with the very latest technology from a startup in Leuven (Belgium), Luzmo, in combination with the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- There are plenty of technical challenges in terms of data modelling, performance, and near-real-time availability.
VLIR-UOS provides functional guidance for this internship and Info Support supports and guides you from A to Z on the technical side.
