Practical reorientation and quality improvement of the Informatics curriculum at the Catholic University of Bukavu.

Finished

This project aims to improve the quality of the curriculum of the informatics program at the Catholic University of Bukavu, and to align the program with the job market.
In order to do so we will on the one hand transform the curriculum in informatics into a more student-centred, more practical curriculum which is well aligned with the jobmarket through exchanges on best practices with north and south experts, train local personnel in technology enhanced learning and perform an investigation of the local jobmarket to compare it to what UCB is offering.
On the other hand, we want to improve the IT infrastructure on the Kalambo campus by providing a wireless intranet, rehabilitate the existing computer class, establish a new network & telecom laboratory for the IT students and train the local academic personnel in its use. In this way, IT students can get experience in using (intranet), building and designing (laboratory) IT services.
