Ongoing

The project creates a collaborative network between 2 established and 7 younger Kenyan universities, UHasselt, UGent, KU Leuven and KEMRI and builds capacity in biostatistics at 3 levels: joint supervision of PhD and master students and co-organization of annual workshops. The central approach is scientific innovation, collaboration and hands-on application of statistical methodology through real-life datasets on communicable diseases and cancer research to support policy and management of dominant public health challenges in Kenya.
