Violence, Human Rights and Democracy in the Philippines: Publishing and Disseminating an Open Access Book

Ongoing

The proposed project collates various research outputs, generated through an ongoing South Initiative, into an open-access peer reviewed book publication. The overall objective of the project is to reinforce public debate about the state of democracy, human rights and violence in the Philippines; a country that is gradually sliding towards authoritarianism. The publication of this open-access book will be accompanied by a dissemination strategy targeting diverse stakeholders in the academe, civil society and independent media as well as the general public. Ultimately, this publication in combination with an elaborate dissemination strategy will foster more extensive and informed debates about the risks and consequences of authoritarian rule in the Philippines
