Quality control and monitoring of scientific research output on national and institutional level

Ongoing

The main goal of the project is to enhance the quality of scientific publications as part of the research output on national and institutional level in Cuba and Peru by strengthening the methods of evaluation and monitoring scientific publications as a central part of research output.

This project will contribute to the development of workflows and standards in the analysis and evaluation of scientific publications at national and institutional level. It will further focus on methodologies to collect and manage data, metadata standards, science measurement and bibliometric approaches.

The project will focus in the first place on the Cuban context where the universities of Havana and Pinar del Rio work closely together  with the ministries of higher education (MES) and research (CITMA). The Peruvian partners will bring in their expertise on research evaluation and will implement policies, methodologies and tools developed by the project adapting them to their situation.
